Pip
A daily instrument that started as a weekend itch.
The problem was simple: keeping track of what to cook felt like more work than cooking itself. Pip started as a scratch pad for recipes and grew into something closer to a daily tool — the kind you reach for without thinking.
It is a React Native app built with Expo. A Node backend handles recipe parsing with the help of OpenAI; the data lives in PostgreSQL. The two sides talk over a straightforward REST layer. On the phone it runs on Expo Router, styled with NativeWind.
The app is active and getting daily attention. The core loop works; the edges are still rough.
